Actress Showing Her breast
There is nothing new to say about this grand seductress. She invents new poses to seduce and loot the senses of men across India. This is her new pose where she is showing her beautiful and sensuous '…………'. Yes, she really knows the ways to allure men without vulgarity. Whatever she does, that stands within the box of hot appeal but not obscene, she says.
Shah Rukh Khan to undergo surgery
Shah Rukh Khan to undergo operation for a tear in the shoulder muscle. He suffered the injury in Mumbai when shooting a stunt scene for Mudassar Aziz’s Dulha Mil Gaya. But, SRK continued shooting with physiotherapy from Dr Ali Irani.
Then, SRK flew to Los Angeles for a month-long schedule of shooting for Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan. During the shooting, he was taken to a hospital with severe shoulder pain. The MRI test revealed the tear in his left shoulder.
SRK is back in Mumbai to undergo a shoulder arthroscopy to repair the tear in his supra-spinatus muscle.
Secret of Emraan Hasmi's Raaz looks
Well, once we had our versatile actor Anupam Kher uttering 'Hollywood is off perfectionists with innovative motifs and we're trying to be there'. Yeah! It sounds good. But our filmmakers seem to be keener on replicating those scenes in their flicks. If you need an illustration for horror films made in our tinsel town, 'The Exorcist' could be the best one. It doesn't stop merely with picking of scenes, but even makeovers.
Fine! The recent horror-thriller 'Raaz – The Mystery Continues' has been moderately doing well. And we bring you an exciting fact about where Emraan's looks in the film were actually inherited from. Glimpse on the pictures of Edward Norton in 'The illusionist'. Emraan's spiked hairs on front and a unique French beard is exactly the same of Ed Norton…
Are Ash-Akki worthy of Padma Shri?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshay Kumar are amidst the Padma Shri award recipients this for year their contributions to the art and cinema.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has definitely been the ’global’ face of India for the past few years. Not only has she represented Bollywood abroad by working in cross-over cinema with international artists but has also been the brand ambassador of various international cosmetic giants. We are definitely not ignoring the brilliant performances the actor has rendered in DEVDAS, PROVOKED, RAINCOAT, HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM, GURU and the most recent JODHAA AKBAR but its her international fame, addition in international desirability lists of women that grabs our attention the most and why shouldn’t it… after all Ash was called as the ’most beautiful woman’ in the world by Julia Roberts.
Actor Akshay Kumar will too receive the award this year and his track record at the box office, according to many, made it possible. His dare-devilry too could be another reason for the actor to be the chosen one but did Aishwarya and Akshay deserve to be the only two film stars to have been selected for the nation’s highly coveted civilian award (the Padma Shri), for their contribution to arts and cinema? Especially when film personalities like Satyajit Ray, Nargis and Madhuri Dixit have been felicitated with this honour before? ’'Ash and Akshay seemed a weird choice to me considering there are many more from cinema who deserve it than these two! I want to know how they have contributed to the Indian cinema! By doing brand endorsements and raking in huge amounts of money by doing international collaborations! Also why are the Olympic medalists missing from the list! Those athletes are more deserving than these two. It’s just appalling’', reacted a senior citizen. ’'I guess the government wants to glamourize the awards like any other film award function thus they have chosen such people. I mean if they were serious they could have honoured talented actors who may not be big stars,’’ reacted a youngster.
’'I think too much has been said about this issue. Just because Ash and Akki are famous does not mean they are not talented,’’ reverted a Bollywood insider. With radio stations too playing fake speeches of Ash on their stations and making a mockery of the actress, looks like Ash and Akshay are in for a lot more criticism coming their way!
John teams up with Anurag again
If you thought director Anurag Kashyap and John Abraham were off each other after NO SMOKING think again. After zeroing in on two major productions DEV D and a project on the comic series DOGA, Kashyap has signed John Abraham for BOMBAY VELVET.
Kashyap said, ’'John’s character is based on a real life hero of the masses from the 1960s. It’s a thriller based on real incidents. The idea was developed over the last four years with inputs from several renowned individuals including history professor Gyan Prakash.’’
Kashyap said, ’'I haven’t worked with this kind of a budget before. I want to be sure of the script. After NO SMOKING, John and I want to make sure our film is accessible to the audience. I analyzed myself and now I know where I had gone wrong with my earlier films. I am working on my weak points. I tend to get repetitive. So I have two writers who criticized me the most for NO SMOKING scripting BOMBAY VELVET.’’ BOMBAY VELVET will be produced by TV 18. The film will also star Naseeruddin Shah and Kay Kay Menon.
Currently Kashyap has his hands full with DEV D, which he perceives as a bridge between Saratchandra Chatterjee’s ’Devdas’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s DEVDAS. ’'I connected newspaper stories to the character of Devdas to explore the things that motivate today’s youth,’’ said Kashyap.
About his relationship with DEV D’s actress Kalki, he said, ’'I’m very happy with Kalki. She has brought great stability to my life. Our relationship started with DEV D. I want her in my life but not necessarily in all my films.’’
The Padmashri is such an honour Aishwarya
Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said she was ’'absolutely honoured’’ at being conferred the Padmashri and that she was grateful for it.
’'I am very thankful for the privilege. I am humbled by it. I thank the high officers of our country because this has been accorded to me by them and our fellow people,’’ the actress told reporters at the inauguration of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in suburban Mumbai.
’'I hope to be able to live up to the promise of it. I am very grateful and will continue doing my best,’’ the actress added.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan said his entire family was happy for the Padmashri recognition to daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai.
’'Aishwarya’s Padma decoration is the fifth in the family. My father received Padmabhushan, myself with (two) Padmashri and Padmabhushan and Jaya was recipient of Padmashri. Five Padma awardees in one family. God is generous and kind,’’ Bachchan wrote in his blog.
’'Our family is very happy and we are thankful to the government to give this honour to Aishwarya,’’ he told reporters in Mumbai.
Along with the former Miss World, actors Akshay Kumar, Helen, noted singer Hridaynath Mangeshkar, ghazal singer Penaz Masani, playback singer Udit Narayan have also been honoured with India’s fourth highest civilian honour for their contribution in the field of art.

Kangana Cannot Tell Republic Day From I-Day!
Kangana Ranaut has been publicly criticized by Shekhar Suman over a poor academic background and here she gives us an openly obvious reason why Shekhar chooses to do so. Kangana is a good actress by she is terribly poor with basic general knowledge.
She could not tell Republic Day from Independence Day. A source reported,
“It so happened that when the reporters asked Kangana to leave a message for all their fans on the occasion of Republic Day, she did that perfectly, in Hindi off course. She then deliberately asked the reporters if they want the same in English too.
Poor Kangana fell into her own trap because she took an exact 5 cuts to say just this single line - “Hi this is Kangana Ranaut and I wish all my fans a very Happy Republic Day”.
If you are thinking this is the end then you are wrong.
After 5 cuts, Kangana managed to say her lines right, but she again paused and asked one of the reporters, “Is it Independence Day or the other one?”
All this could not stop the reporters and cameraman from giggling. She soon realized why everyone was smiling and finally said, “No more interviews please” and walked off.”
Aamir And Shahrukh Finally Do A Film Together!
Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan are rivals since ages now and whenever we ask them if they’d do a film with each other they give very diplomatic answers and get away. But the time has come - they are starring in the same movie.
Yes the movie is Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut Luck By Chance which stars Farhan Akhtar and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead roles. Hrithik also plays an important role in the film. And just as we expect sparks to fly when Shahrukh and Aamir have a face off on screen. Zoya breaks our heart saying,
“They both are playing cameos and both are far apart. One has a scene with Farhan and the other has a scene with Konkana,” says Zoya Akhtar.
Farhan Akhtar auto by chance
Farhan Akhtar, sister Zoya Akhtar and producer of their flick Luck by Chance Ritesh Sidhwani are all set to take you on a ride - a free one. Next time you are hiring an auto in Mumbai, look closely if it is Farhan’s “Auto by Chance”.
The auto promotion of the film will be carried out by 10 autos who will massively promote Luck By Chance and if you are lucky you will get a free ride in the auto.
Director Zoya Akhtar says, “It’ll be great fun!”
Producer Ritesh says,”Most Mumbaiites use autos. My four-year-old son prefers autos to cars. When we go out, he insists on hiring an auto and my car has to follow!” The promotion is being run in conjunction with a radio station. One passenger will be interviewed live by an RJ and go on air with his experience of getting lucky and enjoying a free ride. “Isn’t that cool?”
Salman and Kareena friends again
Not too long ago when Kareena was dating Shahid, some misunderstandings between Shahid Kapoor and Salman Khan lead to sour ties between Sallu and Bebo. But the Shahid episode is over and now Salman and Kareena are doing a film together titled Main aur Mrs. Khanna but still they shared icy vibes.
A source reveals,”When they started shooting for Main Aur Mrs Khanna, Kareena and Salman only behaved like professionals. Anybody who saw them share icy vibes would never have been able to tell that the two were thick friends once upon a time. Even as their onscreen chemistry sizzled in Main Aur Mrs Khanna, they refused to interact off-screen.
In fact, things were so bad that director Prem Soni would have to discuss scenes separately with both the stars. But during the Panchgani schedule, Kareena and Salman hit it off instantly.”
However Kareena took an initiative to settle things between her and Sallu, “There was a sensitive scene that required a lengthy discussion. Ideally it was Prem Soni who would have discussed the scene separately with both of them. But this time, things were different. Kareena suddenly walked up to Salman and began chatting about the intricacies of the scene with him. Initially, Salman was taken by surprise but gradually he was amused by what Kareena was saying.
Then suddenly, they started laughing out loud. Saif’s presence further eased things as Saif and Salman share an excellent rapport. A delighted Prem Soni then started discussing the scenes with Kareena and Salman together. It was an emotional reunion especially because Kareena’s sister Karisma too is a close friend of Salman.”
The source adds,”Despite a cold war with Salman, Kareena had agreed to play the lead in Main Aur Mrs Khanna because she liked the script. But Kareena is happy to bond with Salman once again.”
Well all wells that end wells

I cant believe it says Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar showed the world his honest and generous side when he refused to take the Star Screen Awards trophy because he thought Aamir Khan deserved it. Just when he let go a small award like that he got a bigger honor - the Padma Shri.
“Every award is big. I believe you get whatever you deserve. I did not believe it initially. When my friends SMSed me I thought they were pulling a fast one on me, but soon I saw it on the channels. I want to thank my audiences and the industry who gave me so much time to work. Today I got this honor thanks to Bollywood’s love and support,” says an elated Akshay Kumar.
The humble man also added, “I owe it to my father and the person who gave me my first break Mr Pramod Chakravarty. I am who I am because of these two individuals.”
Way to go Akki… Hope you get the Best Actor Film fare someday!

A source says, “It’s a new format and it’s Farhan’s first time on TV, so we expected it to pick up slowly but it doesn’t seem to be working.”
The production house also blames Farhan’s non-availability of dates for shooting, “The production people have to constantly keep running after him to secure dates. There’s an understanding that he won’t be able to shoot when he has to promote his films or work on new projects.”

Emraan doesn’t find himself special
With a swashbuckling performance in Raaz TMC, Emraan Hashmi is the talk of the town, however the handsome lad is still grounded and doesn’t find any specialty in himself.
He says, “Emraan Hashmi is not a very special person. I am just like any other individual. I am a common man with basic needs and wishes. I fear God and love him too and yes and I enjoy my success. I am basically an open book, what ever the world knows me for is the actual me. Anybody can read me. But not when I am sleeping (laughs). There is nothing hidden in me from the world.”
Emraan also talks about Raaz and says, “This movie is of great importance. Working in a horror movie was my dream. And now with RTMC , it has come true. I have not signed RTMC merely because it is a horror film. The script, the theme, the role and the concept were so new that I was all the more tempted to sign it. This movie stands incomparable in terms of horror flicks. It will prove as a benchmark for the other horror films. “
Yeah! This guy is so open that even kissing doesn’t seem to be personal now, thanks to him!!

Shilpa couldn’t shave her head off
Shilpa Shetty was quite excited about playing the most challenging role of her life which required her to go bald and learn odyssey, but the actress’s dreams were shattered when a cosmetic company she endorses refused her to go bald.
Shilpa says, “I’d have loved to shave off my hair. But my other commitments put an end to my plans. The bald prosthetics were done by an amazing makeup artiste named Vidyadhar. It took him three hours to make me look bald. And after I finished shooting it took an hour to take off the bald makeup.”
Shilpa apparently shot all the bald scenes in a day, “Getting into the bald makeup again would’ve been impossible. But what we’ve shot is amazing. Being hairless makes you look so vulnerable and childlike. I felt I had gone back to my childhood,” says Shilpa who is shooting for Desire in Kolam.
Shilpa then adds, “Seeing myself in bald prosthetics liberated me. I wish I could’ve actually shaved of my hair. An Aamir Khan tonsures his head and it becomes a fashion statement. But we girls have to go by the market definitions of glamor.”
Alas! Shilpa couldn’t pull of a Ganjini act!!!

Mahesh Bhatt: Slumdog is not A.R Rahman’s best work
Director Mahesh Bhatt is widely known in the industry for his bold and thought provoking comments and now the director has given his take on Oscar nominated Slumdog Millionaire insisting that SM is not A.R Rahman’s best work.
He says, ‘’If you see his work in the past, he has produced such a quality product that it shouldn’t even take a minute to award this legend. His music in TAAL, RANG DE BASANTI or even LAGAAN, which was nominated for the Oscars, stood nowhere in eyes of the Oscars’ Jury. However, when his music has a white connection, it comes to the priority list of the awards. Why? So is it that we Indians are incapable of making it to Oscars? Or it is just that we would be used for other’s benefit and just left unrecognized.”

Kangana on Shekhar Suman
Shekhar Suman is talking non-stop about his son - Adhyayan Suman’s girlfriend Kangana Ranaut, now look what Kangana has to say about daddy Suman. Check out her interview.
Do you think Shekhar Suman should have been so critical about Chandni Chowk to China and ask Akshay Kumar to apologize?
Shekharji shouldn’t have said it. Those who live in glass houses should not cast stones at others. Why make such a comment? It’s not possible to give a hit all the time. And if a star can’t do that, you can’t go about ripping him apart. You can’t kill a star for not delivering.
You are reported to have had a tiff with Shekhar Suman over Satyajit Ray and commercial success…
I seconded Mohit (Suri) when he got into this debate. There is no point in making a film and then saying that the audience isn’t ready for it. If people don’t like a film, then it’s you who isn’t ready for the audience and not vice versa. I find no reason to criticise that audience and term it as being silly. Movie-making is a business. You can’t invest Rs 50 crore to make a film and then not have it generating business.
With such glaring differences of opinion between you and Shekhar, isn’t it difficult for you to be in a relationship with his son?
I don’t care. I’m not in love with the father.
Looks like a great war is going on between daddy Suman and little miss Ranaut, wonder what is Adhyayan’s take on this!!!

Arjun Rampal joins Ashu-Sajid war
The war between director Aushutosh Gowarikar and director/comedian Sajid Khan as all directors in the industry join hands to condemn hosts like Sajid Khan and their latest victim was Arjun Rampal.
Director Bijon Dasgupta sent the following message to Arjun while he was at FHM award function, “It is disgusting and in bad taste to watch hosts (MOC) of Film Award Functions… run down stalwarts… in their shows or films.
We totally agree with Ashutosh Govariker, when he asked Sajid Khan 2 shut up. A Sajid’s Khan film or talent cant be compared 2 the work done by Ashutosh… or recent film makers like Neeraj Pande… Anurag kashyap… and many more. We need 2 condemn this cheap toilet humour…”
The same message was circulated throughout the industry by an unknown number and Arjun got it from Bijon, however Arjun did not want to involve himself with the controversy.
Bijon confirms the episode, It’s true that Arjun called me and nicely asked me to let it all go and not get involved.”
However he denied forwarding any message and reveals the matter has ended with Sajid apologizing on national TV.
Sajid said on his NDTV show, ‘Ashu, I hope you’re watching this. I love you and I know you love me!’ .”

Freida Pinto on cloud nine
Freida Pinto is the star of the moment, with everybody noticing her for being a part of Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated Slumdog Millionaire.
Ask her about her dream debut and she says, “I need to treasure these moments for the rest of my life. For someone who’s never acted before, this break was a blessing. Working for Danny Boyle was like attending the best acting school. When we started working, he told me, ‘Life isn’t always the same. Brace yourself for the world!’ The attention does get overwhelming at times and I’m still getting used to it. I’m a shy, reserved girl. Even when today someone compliments me, I get very embarrassed.”
Ask her if the world has changed for her after Slumdog and she says, “Not at all. I’m still the same, sensitive and simple girl who always dreamed about being an actress. The only thing that’s changed is that the girl walking around in jeans and tees has now taken to wearing designer dresses. Being in the public eye is unnerving at times but I think it’s a small price everyone pays for fame. But I keep telling myself all the time — I’m an actor, not a star.”
Well said Freida :)

Well the serial kisser has kissed many leading ladies of his flick, but Emraan Hashmi narrates an experience where he was kissed by a man.
Emraan who is in Hyderabad to promote his Raaz TMC, reveals, “Hyderabad is an important destination for Bollywood. Weirdly though, I’ve had strange experiences here. The first time, I was kissed by a man, the next time by a girl and on my third trip, I was swooned by the cheerleaders of the local team!”
The lover boy has also mellowed down on his kisses and says, “I’m consciously moving away from that image. I have brought down the passion in my kisses. It’s worked for me but…. Sometimes, it’s put for superstitious reasons!”

Aasma Movie Reveiw
Movie: AASMA
My Rating: 1.5/5
Banner: Muzikzon Entertainment
Music: Afsar- Sajid
Cinematography: Akash Deep
Direction: Rohit Nayyar
Producer: Ram Kishore Saxena
Cast: Seema Biswas, Hrishita Bhatt, Nauheed Cyrusi, Subhashish, Sachin Khedekar, Mushtaq Khan, Aditya Lakhia, Ravi Gosain, Sunil Rege, Khushboo Garewal, Raghuveer Yadav, Joy Sengupta etc
Release Date: 23rd Jan 2009
Review
Story:
A sulky story, the tale is about a theatre group which goes by the name of Aasma has a bunch of talented artists (Shubhashish, Seema Biswas, Hrishita, Raghuveer, Joy, Mushtaq etc) but then luck has been eluding them for quite a while. They are unable to get offers to play and this leads to more problems. The final nail on the head is hit when its main sponsor (Sachin Khedekar) backs out of the group and this makes them fall on to doldrums. From then on, the group tries to pool in their sources and try to restructure things but when all this is happening, it is discovered that the main character is affected with HIV disease. How do they cope up with this situation? Will 'Aasma' make it to recognition and success? All this forms the rest of the story.
Artists Performance:
The director has come up with a flimsy storyline and added to that his narration has been quite amateur and raw. The presentation aspect is somewhat okay but then the script was written shoddily, the screenplay was not executed very well, dialogues were just okay, the saving grace for the film is few songs and the camerawork that did its best to capture anything that can get some mileage. Editing could have been a lot better, the others need no mention here. Shubh was the real performer who did his best to salvage, Nauheed and Hrishitaa are both beautiful and sexy but then they did not have much to offer due to their weakly written characters, Raghuveer Yadav failed to impress, Aditya is bad, Ravi not upto the mark, Seema should have thought about Hindi than English, Sachin was underutilized. It was Mushtaq Khan and Sunil Rege who managed to do a good show.
Final Analysis:
The film is a hotch-potch of various other movies and at the end of the day, the makers were not clear what they wanted to convey. While the first half of the film was the regular tale of moments, the second half gets emotional and melodramatic at many instances. Overall, the pace of the film is quite mild. It must be said that the blame must be taken by the writing and the direction departments. The film will sink in no time.

Slumdog Millionaire Movie Review
Movie: Slumdog Millionaire
My Rating: 4/5
Music: AR Rehman
Cinematography: Anthony Dod Mantle
Screenplay: Simon Beaufoy
Direction: Danny Boyle
Producers: Christian Colson, Tessa Ross, Paul Smith
Cast: Dev Patel, Anil Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Freida Pinto, Ankur Vikal etc
Release Date: 23rd Jan 2009
Review
Story:
Jamal (Dev Patel) is an orphan from the slums of Mumbai. He gets to attend the game show ‘who wants to be a millionaire’ when he is 18. Surprisingly he starts giving the right answers till he gets into the final round. And all these questions have relevance to certain incidents happened in his life. The game show host and cops suspect that Jamal cheated in the show. The rest of the story is all about how he proves his innocence and wins his lady love that’s been playing hide and seek with him since his childhood.
Artists Performance:
The kids who did the roles of Salim, Jamal and Latika are adorable. They are the best in the film than the main leads. Among the notable Indian actors, Saurabh Shukla is the best. Ankur Vikal is excellent. Anil Kapoor is pretty natural as a wicked and biased host of the game show. After some point of time, we start hating him. Dev Patel is adequate. Irfan Khan played similar kind of roles earlier. Hence it is a cake walk for him.
Story – Screenplay – Direction:
The story of this film is adapted from a book Q & A written by an Indian author Vikas Swaroop. It is an interesting story that has two parallel plots interwoven into a game show. Direction of the film is brilliant. The screenplay is extraordinary. This film combines both arts and commerce. It has a highly realistic treatment to it with an undercurrent box office winning formula.
The following scenes are worth mentioning:
1. The cop chasing the kids in slums
2. Young Jamal jumping into shit pond to get an autograph of Amitabh.
3. Young Salim asking his boss for 50 rupees when his boss asks him to be professional.
4. Jamal acting as tour guide in Taj Mahal
5. Darshan to Ghanashyam scene
6. Jamal’s conversation with the blind in which he comes to know about the photo on 100 dollar bill.
7. Salim taking the life of the guy who bothered him.
8. Jamal trying to steal chapati on a moving train
9. Jamal not choosing B as an answer for the penultimate question
Other technical departments:
Background score by AR Rehman is peppy and energetic (especially the beat scored by kids chasing scenes in the initial part of the movie). Cinematography is excellent. Editing is superb with no dull moment. This film shows Mumbai slums in a magnificent way.
Final Analysis:
It's a movie that sounds mundane for Indian audiences as they have got exposed to better story lines and better narrations so far. But it has run on a new platform where Indian movies seldom do. Let us discuss how it appealed for western audiences and how for Indians. As almost every Indian knows the most famous TV Show 'Koun Banega Crorepathi', they can get connected easily. It's the story of a slum boy who happens to be on the hot seat of that show miraculously. He wins 20 million rs in that show and makes big news in entire nation. How the uneducated slum boy could win that show with his general knowledge? That forms the interesting narration all over. His practical exposure and knowledge that comes to him since childhood luckily form the set of questions in front of him when he faces that show. Ultimately he wins the maximum amount from that show. But there is no big social responsibility that is linked up in the climax. There is no surprise element or the aspect that boosts up the graph of the movie in climax. Hence it appeals to be a normal flick for Indian movie lovers. Beside all this, the love line in the movie is also nothing new for Indian audiences and it goes without saying in any movie. The adrenaline hasn't boosted up even in climax as there is no suspense part.
But for westerners, they hardly get exposed to this kind of stuff. They can easily get sympathetic when the pathetic India is shown for them from the angles of filthy slums, brothel lanes and Mumbaikar gangsters. Rehman's Indo-western style of background score appealed for them in novel way. And moreover, the sensitive love concept from the side of lead role also makes them connect better.
The film is neither extraordinary nor great. It's a good narration with an average content where direction and screenplay grooved well. But still, the film got the great international recognition- because 'It's written'.

Good job Aamir!!!

SRK’s mineral hair
SRK’s hair are the best in the industry and have been his constant companions since his hey days, but the reason behind his silky locks is that he washes them with mineral water.
A source says, “His hair reacts badly to hard water. He has a condition where his hair gets hard and loses its shine if he doesn’t take good care of it.
And you can’t have a bad hair day while shooting, so he only uses bottled water in such cases.”
Apparently SRK had his share of bad hair days when he washed his hair with hard water while shooting Paheli and from that day onwards he has been extra careful about his hair.
His stylist says, “It’s important for styling that hair be washed with regular water.
In the past, SRK’s hair got damaged when he used well water while shooting in remote locations during Paheli. After that, he has learned to be careful.
As an actor, you are in the business of looking good, so you better take care of your skin, body and hair. Also it affects the look and continuity in the film and he doesn’t want to take any risks.”
During the recent shoot of Billu Barber, SRK made it a point to have an ample supply of mineral water specially for his bath.

Shahid wants to compete with the best
Shahid Kapoor is now a days being counted amongst the best actors of Bollywood and the hunk wants to compete only with the best now.
Shahid says, “Why should I compete with any one person? I would like to compete with the best and want to be the best among the best. That is where I want to reach ultimately.”
However Shahid is here for not only competition but also for inspiration.
He says, “A lot of times I see a great performance and get inspired to work better. I feel competition is a wrong term, I think it’s more about professional camaraderie and appreciation of someone’s work and finding reasons to work harder the next day.”
Whatever Shahid! You are the best!!!

SRK doesn’t regret turning down Slumdog
Slumdog Millionaire has finally put India on the global map, as it swept away four Golden Globes, however our superstar SRK was supposed to be an important part of the flick, he was the original choice of director Danny Boyle to play the host of Who Wants to be the Millionaire show, which was later played by Anil Kapoor.
However SRK does not regret missing out on the movie, he says, ” No. I know Danny felt bad about it. But he is such a good human being. And his love for India is something very special. After I saw the film, I thought Anil had done a fabulous job and deserves every bit of the success.”
SRK even refused some biggies like Lagaan, Munnabhai and more recen 3 Idiots, ask him about it and he says, “There shouldn’t be any afterthought once a decision is made. Nobody could have done a better job than Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai… Yes, I was keen to do Lagaan, but Ashutosh and I didn’t get a producer at that time. I wasn’t into production then. And I didn’t do 3 Idiots which Aamir is doing now. Looks like Aamir was destined to do both the roles. He is brilliant, no doubt. Everything isn’t made for me alone. God has given me enough, I’d better be happy and contented. “

Aamir Khan goes lean
The buffed up body from Ghajini is a thing of past now for Aamir Khan as he has lost almost 8 kg for his role of a student in Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots based on the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat.
Quiz Aamir what is difficult, to make muscles or to lose weight, he says, “Both were difficult. I had to stretch myself to extreme limits when I was building my body. It was a testing period for me.”
Aamir revealed that he was hesitant to lose the body he made so hard.
He says, “But I am an actor and my body is my instrument. I have to change my appearance for my roles. Now I had to lose weight for 3 idiots. I am trying to become like my director Murugadoss. Actually my role in 3 idiots is modeled on my director Murugadoss.”

Shekhar Suman hits out at C2CC and Akki
Chandni Chowk to China has been getting the worst results, finally Akki’s successful stint at the box-office has been broken by a wrong flick like C2CC and now actor Shekhar Suman is lambasting the flick for making him waste his money on the ticket.
He says, “It will go down as the worst film ever made in Indian history. What an utter waste of Rs 400 that I spent on my ticket.
I want a refund of all Akshay films that I’ve seen. The film is not just disappointing and amateurish but offends one’s sensibility as well. I don’t think there has been a film as sad or horrible as CC2C this far!
I declare January 16 (the day the film released) to be declared National Mourning in India, as it’s the day cinema died.”
“I watched it at Cinemax’s Red Lounge and everyone was hooting and jeering. I am upset with Akshay for doing such a film. He’s lost it after seeing success.
Akshay was better when he wasn’t in the race now his brains have turned topsy-turvy. I think Shah Rukh must be having the last laugh Akshay said somewhere that SRK’s not in the race but he (Akki) is already at the finishing line.”
“Singh Is Kinng was illogical too, but it was at least entertaining. CC2C makes David Dhawan look like Satyajit Ray.
The film has been shot so amateurishly like a child with a handycam that too banally. I tried to find moments which I could like action, romance, music but couldn’t!
I have seen Akshay grow as an actor but he’s terrible in the film. It’s like winning the jackpot, losing it and starting from scratch again.”
“I will migrate from this country if they do! It’s blasphemy to make a sequel.
I am sure that the Warner Brothers execs are fighting amongst themselves wondering why they made such a film. I guess Nikhil and Akshay were too involved in the film and lost focus.”
Ask him about the sequel of the flick and he says, “I wouldn’t know whether to lambast him or run away in embarrassment. Akshay owes India a national apology.
From a non-actor, he became such a good one. I had loved him in Namastey London. To give the devil his due, his comic timing in all his earlier films were fantastic, considering comedy is so difficult to do.
CC2C is the last film one expected from him!”

Emraan turns a painter after Raaz TMC
Emraan will be seen portraying the role of a painter in the sequel of Raaz TMC, but little is known that the actor has turned into a painter in real life too.
For the movie he was trained by Sailesh Achrekar and learnt different strokes and techniques of painting.
Emraan says, “Before shooting for Raaz, I was training under Sailesh Achrekar. Mohit (Suri; Raaz 2 director) wanted a character similar to Sailesh.
During this course, I started to learn to paint using various techniques, which I was not even aware of.
Through the lessons, I learnt to sketch with charcoal, pencils, work with oil paints and use different tools for effect such as knives and sponges.”
The entire process of painting rejuvenates me and is a complete stress-buster. It is just the start and I am not a pro at it but I’m trying to get better with every portrait.
With any form of art, you need practice. You have to trust it, offer something your best and then step back to see what is created.

Rishi Kapoor cant stop admiring Abhishek Bachchan!
Rishi Kapoor plays a very important role in Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6 with Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead. And Rishi really admires Abhishek Bachchan saying,
“A very smart and a handsome six foot two inches; in fact taller than his father, Abhi is a very well spoken, educated and a cultured boy. A very fine actor.”
Elaborating on his words he cant help talk about this one scene he has with Abhishek where he was greatly impressed with Abhishek’s acting skills.
He says, “There is one very important scene I have in the film. It’s important for the film, to me and Abhi where I am speaking most of the lines. I am trying to tell him that don’t lose out on your girl whom you love (Sonam), otherwise you’ll turn up like me, like what my character is in the film is. Now here’s the twist.
Abhishek doesn’t say anything. He is just looking at me speechless. And the way he has done the scene, hats off to him. I haven’t seen the film yet but he was brilliant in that scene.
The way he has underplayed that scene is worth a standing ovation. My sincere kudos to him and thus I couldn’t stop myself from sending him the text message congratulating him”.
They say seeing is believing… We’ve got to see till we believe that!

Sanju’s Political Career Not Bright Predict Astrologers!
As Sanjay turns a new leaf in life and hopes things get brighter for him, astrologers predict a gloomy political career.
“His Jupiter is not strong and I do not see him getting into power and if he, by any chance, manages to win, it will bring him a bad reputation. Otherwise things are very good for him. He is an entertainer and should stick to only that,” astrologer Ajay Bhambi said.
“He is a blue-eyed boy of the industry because in spite of doing so many wrong things in life, he is still loved by everyone. He is the hero of the common man as he has come out victorious from the hardships that he has faced all through his life.
“But dabbling in politics will do no good to his image,” Bhambi said.
Tarot card reader Poonam Sethi says, “My cards say he will not get involved in politics directly, his wife might take the plunge but I do not see him getting active in politics,” Sethi said.
“In case he manages to get into it, it will not last for a long time; it will just be an unsuccessful stint in politics,” she added.
Seema Midha, another tarot card expert and numerologist, agreed and said Dutt’s political career did not seem bright. In fact his wife Manyata seems to have brighter chances than him, she said.
“He is doing so many things right now and it will be very difficult for him to balance everything; hence his political career looks very doubtful and I do not think his move in politics is a good one,” Midha said.
However, she added, while this year would be “a bit difficult for him, this move could reap him benefits in the coming year,” she added.
Astrologer Bejan Daruwalla refused to comment on his chances in politics but said his career would pick up from April.
“He is a Leo and is full of talent and energy. As an actor he has proved his mettle. All I can see and make out from his horoscope is that from the month of April, his career will pick up and he will be a happy man,” Daruwalla said over phone from Mumbai.
“Politics is a part of life. As I have said he will be a happy and successful man, and that means in all his future endeavours, he will get success.”

Munnabhai Baney Politician!
Sanjay ‘Munnabhai’ Dutt surprised everyone as he took a plunge into politics. The news flashed all around as he was given the court’s permission to contest the upcoming elections when there was much hullabaloo against his entry into politics.
We hear that Samajwadi Party’s Amar Singh who has strong ties with the Bachchan family encouraged Sanju to join politics and offered him his party’s ticket to contest from the Lucknow constituency. We got a clear cut and a much needed comment from Sanjay Dutt over that and he also talks about his political plans.
“Yes. He spoke to me about joining politics when I went to meet him in Delhi.
Amar Singhji is like an elder brother to me. He thought I should enter politics because I’m capable of helping people in society.
When he said this to me I felt so honoured. That he should think of me in this way after all I’ve gone through, boosted my morale tremendously.
As he pointed out to me, I’ve been helping to fight cancer and drug abuse. Now I’m ready to do more, much more.”
When he went to Lucknow, some people really wanted to rain on his parade by putting up posters saying “We dont want a Terrorist.”
“These were just a handful of people with vested interests seeking publicity. They can’t hurt me. I know politics wont be easy for me.
I know a lot of things will be said. But I’ve been facing brickbats for twenty years. I’m used to it.
What more can words do to me? If the honourable court allows me to contest elections and gives me a chance to make myself useful to the country I’ll prove to these detractors that my past isn’t going to colour my future.”
We wish you good luck Munnabhai… We wish you spread around some jadoo ki jhappis and a some of the little Gandhigiri that you have learnt in your life.

Bipasha Basu’ Life Is Her Work
Bipasha Basu who is currently filming the tough flick Lamha in Kashmir believes that work is her life but she is not ready to sacrifice herself for her work.
She says, “Too much was made out of the whole thing (when Bips left the schedule in Srinagar earlier). Lamhaa is a difficult film. There was bound to be ups and downs. The producer and director knew why I left. A certain amount of security was promised. The first seven days were absolute chaos – nothing was organised and there was a lack of security.”
“Yes, my work is my life. But then, I’ve a life beyond work. I’m not going to risk my life unnecessarily for any film. Who comes to hold your hand when you’re in pain? Let’s be optimistic.”
“This time, hopefully, we’ll shoot without any trouble. Let’s be sensible about it. Lamhaa is a sensible film and it would be difficult for audiences to follow (the language and behaviour of the local Kashmiri girls, which she’d planned to learn earlier). At the end of the day, we’re making a commercial film.”
She adds, “I love working with Rahul Dholakia (the director of Lamhaa ). He’s fun and funny. We’ve a strange equation. He looked at me at the start and asked if I am a method actor. I liked that. It showed the director had enough respect in me to first find out what kind of an actress I am.”

Deepika Doesn’t Believe She Is A Celebrity
Deepika Padukone is being counted as a star, with a dream debut with SRK, then a rocking flick with boyfriend Ranbir and now a flick with Akshay Kumar, Deepika is easily transformed into a celebrity but the leggy lass doesn’t believe that she is a celebrity.
She says, “I don’t consider myself a celebrity. I believe that I’ve had a fantastic upbringing and I believe my parents have kept me really grounded and rooted. I hope that success never gets to me.”
“I’ve seen my father (badminton champion Prakash Padukone) handle success really well and I hope I continue in the same way because I believe that fame and money are secondary things. The main thing is to enjoy your work.”
Well she should say this after a disastrous flick like C2CC.

How US media changed for Rahman
A.R Rahman is currently talk of the town, in India and abroad, but everything wasn’t the same before he won the Globes. Rahman still remembers how he was humiliated by the US media when they did not want to take his solo snaps and asked him to stand beside SD director Danny Boyle.
Rahman remembers the incident and says, “In one week, I received three awards in the US. The first was the Critics’ Awards. When I received the award, the American media wasn’t interested in me - they didn’t want my solo photographs. ‘Can you please stand next to Danny Boyle?’ they would say. I think it was a glamour thing. But by the time I came to pick up the third award - the Golden Globe, they said, ‘Can we have your solo pictures, please?’

Shahid Kapoor - The biker dude
Shahid Kapoor gifted himself a brand new expensive bike last week but as a good boy he took permission from his parents first.
A friend of the actor says, “Shahid loves biking. When he was shooting with Ahmed Khan for Ishq Vishk Pyar Vyar, Shahid would often go with him on long bike rides along the Western Express highway.
Though he longed for a bike of his own, his parents Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem were against it as they felt it was unsafe.
Shahid has always been a dutiful son, so he squashed his biking dreams and got busy with his work till last year when he missed his bike rides again.”
Finally Shahid was given a go-ahead by his parents last month for owing a bike after he assured his mom and dad that he would drive it safely. Finally Shahid laid his hands on Yamaha MT-01 last week.
The 1670cc bike worth a whooping Rs 15 lakhs is black color sports bike with an impressive torque speed.
His friend adds, “It’s the first time he’s sporting such a cool bike. Shahid chose black as he doesn’t like anything bright, flashy and over-the-top but rather classy, understated and subtle stuff.
Shahid is very possessive about his new bike and insists on cleaning it himself. He loves biking especially at night or for going for film shoots. Last week, Shahid rode to Indigo on his new bike for dinner with Ahmed Khan and his wife Saira and to Chembur for the shoot of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminay in the morning.”
Shahid says, “I love bikes and getting my own bike was my own way of beating traffic. It helps me get faster to shoots. I am perpetually running late in traffic and my bike helps me get there sooner.”

Aamir’s new student - Salman Khan
Aamir Khan is all set to turn a teacher for buddy Salman Khan, thanks to the rocking hit Ghajini’s marketing. Salman is eager to learn marketing techniques from Aamir Khan to promote his next flick Wanted: Dead or Alive.
A source says, “Salman liked the way Aamir went about promoting Ghajini. Salman was particularly impressed with the multiplex staffers sporting the Ghajini hair-cut. He told producer Boney Kapoor that he was open to discussions with the creative team, so as to make the promotions as unique as possible.”
The source adds, “Salman realised the way in which his presence in print and electronic media could help boost the prospects of a film at the box-office. He also saw how Aamir had gone out of his way to talk about Ghajini with the press. Salman now does not want to leave any stone unturned for Wanted…”
Boney Kapoor director of the flick says, “Salman is going to play a major role throughout the film’s promotion. We have prepared a huge set for Salman’s photo shoot for the film.”

Chandni Chowk to China Movie Review
Movie: Chandni Chowk to China
My Rating: 1.5/5
Banner: R S Entertainment, Orion Pictures, Warner Bros
Music: Lot of them
Cinematography: V Manikanandan & Himman Dhamija
Direction: Nikhil Advani
Producers: Ramesh Sippy, Mukesh Talreja & Rohan Sippy
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Shorey, Mithun Chakraborty, Gordon Liu & Roger Yuan etc
Release Date: 16th Jan 2009
Review
Story:
Siddhu Sharma (Akshay Kumar) works in an eatery at Chandni Chowk. He is an orphan who gets raised by his Dada (Mithun Chakraborthy). Hojo (Gordon Liu) was a menacing man in the neighboring village of Wall of China. The village men are looking for an incarnation of their war lord. They find Siddhu as the reincarnation of their war hero. Siddhu is looking for an escape from his routine and uninteresting life. He finds this offer of going to China tempting. The local interpreter Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey) helps Siddhu by translating the Chinese language in Hindi. Sakhi (Deepika Padukone) is a model of tele-brand marketing products in India. Meow (Deepika Padukone) is mafia lady working for Hojo. Sakhi and Meow are twins separated at birth. The rest of the story is all about how this cook from Chandni Chowk transforms himself into the warrior who rescues Chinese village from a menace and is also about how the twins have their little family reunion.
Artists Performance:
Akshay Kumar: Akshay Kumar is excellent as a simpleton who transforms himself into a kung-fu expert. He is a superstar who never gives a damn to the image factor. That has been his success mantra in his past films. In this film also there is a scene where the villain urinates on the face of Akshay. He should be appreciated for acting in such a scene. He is pretty good in comedy scenes.
Others: Deepika Padukone is good in both roles she has done. Mithun Chakraborty did the role of guardian of hero. Ranvir Shorey is partly good. Gordon Liu looks menacing as the baddie. Roger Yuan is very entertaining in the scenes of teaching Kung-Fu.
Technical Departments:
Story: Ramesh Sippy produced two classics Sholay and Seeta aur Geeta. Nikhil Advani took these two stories and paid tribute to Ramesh Sippy by mixing these story lines to direct this film on Ramesh Sippy Entertainment banner. Akshay Kumar's character, village set-up and villain character represent the Sholay part of it. Twins part is taken from Seeta aur Geeta. Cook becoming a kung-fu expert is taken from 'Kung-Fu Panda'. 'Believe in yourself' adage is also taken from Kung-Fu-Panda.
Screenplay – Direction: The main drawback of this film is the lack of tone. This film gives a comedy treatment for a serious subject. There by it dilutes the emotions part. There is inconsistency in the tone. Most of the film appears like a comedy and suddenly it becomes a serious episode and then goes back to comedy treatment. The screenplay of the film is bad. Direction is uninteresting. The only scenes that interested me were
1. The comedy bit in flight where Akshay tries to close the overhead locker. (typical Mr. Bean type)
2. The Kung-fu training episodes.
Other Technical Departments: Music of the film is good. Cinematography is nice. Action sequences are well conceived.
Final Analysis: Nikhil Advani fails in two aspects. One is the screenplay. The other one is the setting the tone for the film. A serious treatment to the subject should have achieved the desired results instead of trying to be funny all the time. The plus point of the film is Akshay Kumar. The entire film is boring. It gets little better towards the climax. On a whole, Chandni Chowk to China is a badly made film.

John is the sexiest, says Bipasha
Bipasha Basu is quite pleased with John Abraham’s success in Dostana and says that the label of the ’sexiest’ Asian man for him pleases her even more.
"There has to be one person who’s the sexiest every year. In 2007, Eastern Eye voted me the sexiest. In 2008, it’s John. If they didn’t vote him the sexiest they’d look really foolish. I mean John is the hottest. No one is going to look hotter than him for a long time. And I’m not saying that because I’m in a relationship with him," said Bipasha. Asked how she felt about John flaunting his well-toned body in Dostana, Bipasha said: "Ranbir Kapoor showed his bum in Saawariya. How come no one raised any eyebrows? It was not so drastic with John.
"He has a fantastic body. If a woman on a beach is appreciated, why not a man on the beach? If you are comfortable with your body and you can carry it off with grace like John did, why not? I’m proud of what John has achieved. I’ve been with him from the time we shot Aetbaar and Jism. We started dating while shooting for Aetbaar."
Bipasha, who turned 30 Wednesday, said she was really proud of her bikini shot in Dhoom 2.
"At no point did I look cheesy. There was no heaving thrusting. It was just a healthy shot of a woman on the beach. Incidentally, I came out of the water in ’Jism’ wearing a thick white dress. Such was the impact that people think I wore a bikini."
Bipasha said she was pretty happy with her achievements last year. "It’s been a fantastic year for me, both personally and professionally. Family is great. Boyfriend is great. Everything is fine. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
"I’m actually surprised the year went so well. I even got time to watch my niece and nephew grow. Yes, I’ve spent one more beautiful year productively." Told that she needs to have children of her own, Bipasha said: "No, no I don’t have the patience for kids. I can’t bear to have my seven-year-old nephew around for more than two hours. He’s a talkative brat.
"My one-year-old niece is an item number. She dances superbly to the worst songs. So, yes, another actress coming up in my family. And she’s the first light-eyed fair-skinned Basu girl in the family." The actress is currently shooting for Rahul Dholakia’s hard-hitting drama Lamhaa
