Getting inspired in 2009


We recently updated you on how almost two dozen films in 2008 were remade, inspired, copied, derived or loosely based on some other film. Habits are hard to let go off and so Bollywood will continue its remake factory in 2009 as well.

The self-confessed official remakes include Salman Khan's Wanted Dead and Alive (Telugu film Pokhiri), Harman Baweja's It's My Life (Telugu film Bommarillu), Shah Rukh Khan's Billu Barber (Malayali film Katha Parayumpol) and Anil Kapoor's Shortcut (another Malayali flick Udayananu Taram).
